Lately I’ve been struggling with creating anything meaningful on this site. I’ve gone into a spiral of just recommending deals on Amazon that I’ve seen, and a stream of fairly funny Office and Parks and Recreation quotes. Most of the Facebook posts get a couple likes from friends, but I’m not really attracting anyone I don’t already know. Which means I have to put some more effort into creating interesting content. My problem is that every time I do something I don’t really want to get my camera out, or even slow down to record it.
Last weekend I think my Dad came up with some gems though, so hopefully you’ve stuck with me. I’m going to come out with a series of videos and posts that should be pretty entertaining. I just have to find the time to shoot, edit and upload this content.
I have a new appreciation for the YouTuber that churning out interesting material. It’s really not as easy as it seems. Maybe it just comes more natural to some people, but I find myself getting embarrassed just recording with my phone different angles of the same thing, just so I can edit it later into a 30 sec clip that probably 10 people will see. It really makes me want to give up on it, but I’m not going to yet.
NickKnows.org is supposed to be my creative outlet, and I need to keep reminding myself that it doesn’t matter if anyone else enjoys it as long as I do. Anyway, thanks for reading my brain dump. Have a good night!
